What's the catch?
Play 8-ball, except the 7-ball and 15-ball start off the table. When you clear your visible group, your opponent chooses either remaining hidden ball—even their own—and places it in a legal spot. They can block your route to the 8 or force a difficult shot. If it’s your ball, you must sink it before the 8.
In this first prototype, fouls award ball-in-hand. Groups are assigned after a legal post-break pocket. After the break, call your ball and pocket. Slop stays down but does not count.
